Welcome to the Recruiter's Network site

Our networking evenings are a great opportunity to meet with other professionals operating across all segments of the recruitment industry. Six more events are taking place in 2008 with three in London as well as Leeds, Manchester and Scotland. Please register if you would like to attend and be sure to check back here for updates.

The 2008 Recruiter's Network program is sponsored by Jobs Today, CV- Library and Innovantage. The events are organised by UK Recruiter and Broadbean

29th May - Leeds event confirmed

Townhouse_2 Our Leeds event is on Thursday 29th May. We have found a perfect venue for speakers and networking, where we will have a private room from 6.00pm onwards. I can't reveal the venue name (we'll tell those of you that register obviously) but can tell you that it's a trendy venue situated in the heart of Leeds city centre.

If you want to register please do so here.

15th May Event - Speakers

Jefferies Unfortunately, due to restrictions enforced by the club, there will be no speakers at this event.  Obviously this is very disappointing and we plan to remedy it for future London events.  However, our proposed speaker Matthew Jeffery from Electronic Arts will still be attending and can be cornered for one on one advice on the subject of Talent Branding. This is his photo so you can easily spot him!

Friends of Recruiters Network

Friends_rn_2If you've ever attended (or almost attended or plan to attend) a networking event and you are on Facebook why not join our "Friends of Recruiters Network" group.  Then you can network with fellow recruitment professionals in between our events.

The added advantage is that you can see what the person you are hoping to meet up with at an event looks like.  Saves wandering around looking at badges (strategically placed at chest height!).

Where have the photos gone?

Networking_shot_2 I'm sure you all love the new site, however, you may be wondering where the photos from previous events have gone.  They are still on our old site as moving over a thousand photos will have to wait until another day!  In the meantime you can view them over there.

They are especially handy if you are planning to come to an event and want to know what the main organisers look like.  That's me (with Ricky and Dan), Ricky and Hannah (and of course Tarah who "owns" the door!)

15th May - London event confirmed

Eastvillage_2 Our next London event is on Thursday 15th May.  We'll be using a different venue for this event - one that we hope to keep for the rest of the year.  I can't reveal the venue name (we'll tell those of you that register obviously) but can tell you it's a funky club near Old Street Station.  As usual we are hiring the entire venue for the networking from 6pm to 10pm.

The Recruitment Finance Division of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance are sponsoring the arrival drinks at the event and Matthew Jeffery from Electronic Arts will be one of our guests speakers.  More information on his presentation and our second speaker to follow.

If you want to register please do so here.

Venue for Manchester networking?

We are planning a Recruiter's Network event in Manchester on Thursday 23rd October.

We are on the hunt for a suitable venue but are also happy to take suggestions from you.  Please let me know if you know anywhere that fulfils the following criteria:Manchester

  • Easy to get to (central Manchester)
  • Can easily accomodate 160 people
  • Is available for private hire (up to about 9.30pm would be fine)
  • Is a good layout to allow everyone to view/hear the speakers during the presentations

In an ideal world we would find a venue which can accomodate 160 people in a main room but which also has a separate area where we have the speakers (and which would accomodate about 100 people).

Answers on a postcard... (or you can leave a comment here if that's easier).

Please welcome our 2008 sponsors

We are very pleased to announce the 2008 sponsors as Jobs Today, CV Library and Innovantage.

Working together with these organisations we hope to bring you the best year yet for networking within the Recruitment Industry.

The Recruiter's Network will be taken to a larger audience this year with planned events in Leeds, Manchester and Scotland. We are also aiming to bring in fresh expert speakers to concentrate on the key issues facing the recruitment industry today.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported us in 2007 and we look forward to seeing you all at the next event.
